Habitat
Dry savanna. From sea-level - 1,000 m, occasionally up to 1,900 m.

Range (Guide)

Angola, Congo, Congo [The Democratic Republic of the], Gabon, Zambia.

South-eastern Gabon east to southern DRCongo (east to Kasai), northern, eastern and central Angola and western Zambia (Zambezi District).

Voice
Song is crombec-like: high-pitched, frequently repeated 'tchee-tchee-tchee', more varied and warbling in the north of its range.

Subspecies
Yellow-bellied Eremomela (Eremomela icteropygialis) and Salvadori's Eremomela (Eremomela salvadorii) (Sibley and Monroe 1990, 1993) have been lumped into Eremomela icteropygialis following Dowsett and Forbes-Watson (1993).

Considered by some authors to be a subspecies of Yellow-bellied Eremomela (Eremomela icteropygialis).

No subspecies.
