Habitat
Tall, mature rainforest at intermediate elevations, secondary forest and secondary growth but always near primary forest. From 500 - 1,800 m, rarely to 2,000 m, being most abundant at 1,200 - 1,800 m.
Extreme south-eastern Nigeria (Obudu Plateau) and western Cameroon (Banyang Mbo and Mt Manengouba south to Mt Cameroon).

Estimated population is unknown (2010).
Status NT
Habitat destruction and degradatio through unsustainable exploitation for timber and firewood, uncontrolled burning and encroachment for agriculture is the main threat.
