Subspecies
The following 3 subspecies are recognised:

ensifera (Clancey, 1958) - Southern Namibia and western and central South Africa (east to south-western northern Province).
hypernephela (Clancey, 1956) - Lesotho.
sinuata (Sundevall, 1858) - Western Cape and northern and western eastern Cape (South Africa).
