Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland moist forest. From sea-level - 600 m.
Côte dIvoire (B) (NB), Guinea (B) (NB), Liberia (B) (NB), Sierra Leone (B) (NB).
Very locally in south-eastern Sierra Leone (Gola Forest), south-eastern Guinea (Macenta, on Zama Massif), northern Liberia and western Ivory Coast.

Population
Estimated population is 10,000 - 19,999 (2010) and decreasing.
Status VU
Habitat destruction through logging, agriculture and mining are the main threats.

Voice
Song consists of short, varied phrases of loud ringing notes. Calls include thin 'weep weep' and soft churrings.
