Habitat
Inland wetlands, including marshes, swamps, bogs, fens and peatlands.
New Caledonia (E) (B).
Rarity Status
Currently this species is not classified as a rarity in this country OR information has not been updated.
Status EX
Known only from fossil remains, but it is possible that the species survived into the 19th century. Extinction was probably caused by hunting and predation by introduced species.
