Habitat
Freshwater habitats including marshes, reedbeds, damp fields and ditches.
Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua.
Southern and eastern Mexico (Guerrero and Tamaulipas) south to Honduras, northern Nicaragua and north-western Costa Rica (northern Guanacaste).
