Subspecies
A member of the large Grey-green Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus purpuratus) species-group, thought to be most closely related to Red-moustached Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus mercierii). Usually associated with the Grey-green Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus purpuratus) subgroup. Sometimes considered a subspecies of Grey-green Fruit-dove (Ptilinopus purpuratus).
No subspecies.
