Subspecies
In past, sometimes placed in genus Sphenurus. Closely allied to Pin-tailed Green-pigeon (Treron apicauda) and Yellow-vented Green-pigeon (Treron seimundi), and these species may form a link between the African and other Asian Treron species. More distantly related to the Wedge-tailed Green-pigeon (Treron sphenurus) species-group.
