Habits
Sedentary. Generally in small groups of one to four, but occasionally up to 27 birds.
Voice
A dry, moderately high-pitched, disyllabic whistle uttered in flight, 'sh-ui'.

Similar Species
Moluccan Hanging-Parrot (Loriculus amabilis) and Sulawesi Hanging-Parrot (Loriculus stigmatus) have red on forehead and at bend of wing, shorter uppertail-coverts and green undertail-coverts.
