Primary, logged and secondary forest, mangrove and hill forests, preferring areas with large trees, plantations (including coconut) and agricultural land. From sea-level - 900 m.

Loud, high, nasal screeches, uttered particularly at roosts. Lower, rapid chattered uttered in flight.
