Subspecies
Carpococcyx radiceus (Sibley and Monroe 1990, 1993) was split into Bornean Ground-cuckoo (Carpococcyx radiceus) and Sumatran Ground-cuckoo (Carpococcyx viridis) following Collar and Long (1995), the name radiceus being changed to radiatus.
