Subspecies
Asian and Australasian forms of Chrysococcyx sometimes placed in genus Chalcites.
The following 2 subspecies are recognised:
xanthorhynchus (Horsfield, 1821) - North-eastern India and Bangladesh east to Myanmar, Thailand and south-central China (Yunnan), and south through Malay Peninsula and Indochina to Greater Sundas and south-western Philippines (Palawan).
