Habitat
Subtropical and tropical lowland dry grassland and shrubland, dry forest, dry savanna, arable land. From sea-level - 1,900 m.
Madagascar.
Madagascar; also Mauritius, Reunion and Glorieuses Is, but possibly introduced to all of these, though may have colonized them, e.g. introduced to Reunion, but an indigenous population may have existed there already.
