Dry savanna. From sea-level - 1,900 m.
Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Tanzania [United Republic of].
Southern Ethiopia, north-western and south-western Somalia and arid parts of northern and eastern Kenya, south to R Pangani (north-eastern Tanzania).
