Habitat
Wet montane forest, forest edge, tall secondary growth adjacent to primary forest. From 500 - 2,500 m.
Colombia (B), Ecuador (B), Peru (B), Venezuela (B).
Western Venezuela and northern Colombia south to south-central Peru.

Currently this species is not classified as a rarity in this country OR information has not been updated.
Population
Estimated population is 10,000 (2010) and decreasing.
Status NT
Deforestation through clearance for agriculture, hunting are the main threats.
